A community living provider in Lancaster is seeking a maintenance professional to ensure the property is well-maintained and student safety is upheld. Responsibilities include managing maintenance tasks, conducting safety checks, and maintaining communal areas. Experience in maintenance, security, or facilities is preferred, and a proactive problem-solving attitude is essential for success. This role offers an opportunity to contribute positively to the living experience of residents.
Here’s what you’ll do;
Along with the day to day activities within your role, you will also be required to manage your health and safety responsibilities as set out in Section 7 of the Health and Safety at Work Etc. Act 1974, where it states that you have a duty to take care of yourself and those around you, by your acts or omissions and to cooperate with your employer on health and safety matters.
This list in by no means exhaustive but in short, your main responsibility is to take pride in the look and feel of the property – ensuring the standard is great for our residents.
You’ll need to have some experience ideally within maintenance, security or facilities with a proactive approach to solving problems. A relevant trade would give you the edge but is certainly not essential.
