We are seeking a skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. In this position, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our building systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs
  • Perform preventative maintenance on various building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
  • Handle basic carpentry, painting, and general repair work
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
  • Assist with equipment installation and relocation as needed
  • Collaborate with external contractors when specialized work is required
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or associate's degree in a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in general maintenance or facilities management
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems
  • Proficiency in using various hand and power tools
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and blueprints
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various positions (standing, kneeling, climbing ladders)

Work Environment:

  • Full-time position with potential for overtime and on-call duties
  • Work in diverse settings including office spaces, common areas, and mechanical rooms
  • May involve exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
