Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and routine maintenance in a hospital environment on client sites in Victoria. You will handle day-to-day tasks, review work orders, estimate materials, and support with system installations.

The role requires practical facilities experience and a proactive safety mindset. The position offers stability, paid overtime, leave for charity, and access to specialised tools, uniforms, and ongoing training within a global

Qualifications

  • Experience in building maintenance or facilities environment.
  • Knowledge of OH&S requirements.
  • Experience in hospital, healthcare or other critical environments is valued.

Responsibilities

  • Performs day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance and keeps maintenance records.
  • Reviews assigned work orders and estimates time/materials for repairs.
  • Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of building systems and equipment.
  • Assists with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
  • Orders required materials and supplies to complete repairs.
  • Maintains lighting systems, replaces bulbs and lamps.
  • Responds quickly to emergencies as needed.

As a CBRE Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for performance maintenance and repairs on various systems.

About your new role:
  • Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as required.
  • Reviews assigned work orders.
  • Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair.
  • Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems.
  • Assists with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
  • Reviews work orders, estimates time and materials needed to repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies.
  • Maintains lighting systems throughout client facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
  • Responds quickly to emergency situations
Skills and Experience:
Must have:
  • This role does not require a trade. Industry knowledge in Electrical, Mechanical Fire etc is preferred.
  • Understanding of OH&S requirements
  • Experience in building maintenance or facilities environment.
  • Hospital, healthcare or other critical environment is highly regarded.
  • Relevant and valid OH&S cards preferred, such as License for operating a Forklift, Elevating Work Platform, and Work Safely At Heights.
  • Suitable Trade qualifications or experience in plumbing is highly desirable, and hands-on with building repair/carpentry work.
  • Basic knowledge and safety awareness around electrical work.
  • Experience with general repairs and maintenance in a structured commercial environment.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
