  • Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Execute and contribute to the development of planned maintenance schedules to ensure machine longevity and operational reliability.

  • Electrical & PLC Expertise: Perform in‑depth electrical fault‑finding, diagnostics, and repair on control panels, motors, drives, and PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley).

  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in project support, including the installation and commissioning of new equipment, and proactively seek out opportunities for equipment modification and performance improvement.

  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere strictly to Health & Safety and quality standards.

What We Offer
  • Salary: £45,000 per annum.

  • Work‑Life Balance: Favourable day‑shift pattern with an early finish on Friday:

    • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

    • Friday: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

  • Career Growth: Excellent opportunities for professional development, including exposure to new technologies and career progression within the engineering department.

About You
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician/Engineer in a fast‑paced packaging or automated manufacturing environment.

  • Strong Electrical bias with relevant technical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, C&G, BTEC, HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering).

  • Solid, hands‑on experience with PLC fault‑finding and diagnostics is essential.

  • A good understanding of mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, bearings, conveyors).

  • Proactive, methodical, and capable of working independently and as part of a team under pressure.
