Overview

We are supporting a market-leading manufacturer in their search for experienced Maintenance Technicians to join their growing engineering team at their Ilkeston site. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful and ambitious business that invests heavily in its people and facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair DC motors and associated drives
  • Service and repair electrical control systems
  • Carry out electrical and/or mechanical installation work
  • Perform planned and preventative maintenance (mechanical and electrical)
  • Diagnose and resolve breakdowns on industrial and process control systems
  • Carry out repairs on extrusion plant equipment
  • Liaise with and support external contractors and suppliers on site
  • MUST BE ABLE TO DO 4 ON 4 OFF DAYS AND NIGHTS
The Person / Qualifications
  • A recognised electrical or mechanical maintenance apprenticeship/training scheme (Level 3)
  • Significant electrical and mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematic drawings
  • A full driving licence (may be required to assist at other sites)
