Job summary

Nova Artes Engineering is seeking a Maintenance Technician / Handyman to cover PPMs and reactive maintenance across multiple sites. You will perform emergency lighting testing, water temperature checks, fire safety PPMs, and basic plumbing, while ensuring work is safe and compliant.

We offer a competitive £30,000 salary, door-to-door travel, overtime, and a company vehicle, with OTE £45,000+. This is a hands-on, varied role requiring independence and a clear DBS check and driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance or handyman role is essential.
• Plumbing experience is essential.
• Full UK driving licence and DBS check are essential.
• Good all-round knowledge of building maintenance services.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPMs) in line with schedules.
• Respond to reactive maintenance calls and fault finding.
• Emergency lighting testing and basic fault rectification.
• Water temperature checks and compliance monitoring.
• Fire safety PPMs and basic system checks.
• General plumbing works including minor repairs and installations.

Maintenance Technician / Handyman

OTE: £45,000+

We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician / Handyman to join our growing team. This is a varied, hands-on role covering both planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive service and repair across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) in line with schedules
• Responding to reactive maintenance calls and fault finding
• Emergency lighting testing and basic fault rectification
• Water temperature checks and compliance monitoring
• Fire safety PPMs and basic system checks
• General plumbing works including minor repairs and installations
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with regulations
• Accurate completion of job reports and documentation

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar maintenance or handyman role (essential)
• Good all-round knowledge of building maintenance services
• Basic understanding of compliance tasks (fire, water hygiene, etc.)
• Plumbing experience essential
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Clear DBS check (essential)
