Job description

This is a full-time hourly position with direct responsibility for the daily maintenance and upkeep of properties within the assigned portfolio. The Maintenance Repair Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain building and property equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Perform highly diversified duties for the general maintenance and repair of various types of commercial properties to maintain buildings to performance standards. Includes minor electrical (i.e., ballasts), plumbing, painting, grounds keeping, and carpentry work. Replacement of light bulbs, ceiling tiles, etc., as required.
  • Respond to daily work orders and communicate accordingly to resolve work order issues.
  • Maintain working knowledge of emergency shut-offs, timers, electrical panels, fire panels, sprinklers, generators, and all mechanical rooms.
  • Direct/assist 3rd party vendors when appropriate. Assist contractors with access.
  • Parking lot maintenance areas, including curbs, drive lanes, and sidewalks.
  • Assess building and grounds to maintain a pristine environment.
  • Identify areas that may be a potential safety, liability, or security risk. Report any concerns.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial maintenance preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Owning your own tools is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Compensation:

$25+ hourly
