Bolton School are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated Operational Services team.

Bolton School are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated Operational Services team.

In this hands-on role, the successful candidate will be responsible for a range of maintenance, repair and compliance tasks across our extensive school grounds, playing a key role in ensuring the facilities are well-maintained, compliant, and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities Include:

· Repairing and maintaining building fabric and equipment, including glazing, furniture, lockers, tiling, and flooring.

· Joinery work and minor plastering and decorating tasks.

· Installation of noticeboards, signage and wall hangings.

· Inspecting and maintaining roof coverings and supporting safety inspections (e.g. fire doors, extinguishers, lighting, water safety).

· Assisting with regulatory compliance and supporting fire marshal duties.

· Occasionally undertaking security duties and supporting other Operational Services functions.

· Promoting and upholding Health & Safety and safeguarding standards at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

· Practical maintenance or trade skills with experience in joinery, tiling, decorating, or general repairs.

· A proactive, team-focused attitude with a strong commitment to health, safety and compliance.

· Flexibility to take on a variety of duties and support colleagues as required.

· Willingness to undertake relevant training.
