Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Community and Capital Project teams in delivering high standards of repairs and preventive maintenance across residential properties. This role covers thermal and electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, painting and decoration, with a focus on safety and resident satisfaction.
You will inspect faults, perform day-to-day tasks, and coordinate with contractors while using Onesite for task management.
The Maintenance Technician contributes to an exceptional resident experience alongside the Community team and Capital Project team through the provision of a high standard of repairs, maintenance tasks, planned and unplanned works and statutory compliance of the building fabric and mechanical and electrical systems. Inspects and diagnoses faults, in addition to undertaking minor day to day repairs and decoration to the building(s), grounds and equipment.
Key Role Responsibilities
About You
You should have a reasonable level of general education, ideally to O' Level/GCSE or equivalent, with good written and numerical skills. Awareness of health and safety requirements on site is important, along with a commitment to continually improving your skills. A recognized trade qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ) in plumbing, electrics, or a related field is desirable, as is experience in residential repairs and maintenance. This includes work on water systems, drainage, electrics, fire alarms, and security systems. Strong verbal and written English communication skills are essential, along with a helpful, professional attitude toward colleagues and residents. You should be a good team player with the ability to work independently, solve problems effectively, and manage your time well. Experience supervising contractors or suppliers is a plus. Flexibility and adaptability are key to thriving in a changing environment.
