Job summary

An organisation in the defence and aerospace sector seeks a Maintenance Technician for a 12-month contract in Derby. The role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and repairs of mechanical machines. Maintenance Technician - 12 month contract

My client is a global defence and aerospace leader. Due to new business contacts, they seek a Maintenance Technician to join their team on an initial 12-month contract.

Responsibilities of a Maintenance Technician:
  • Perform a range of routine, reactive, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Installations, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on mechanically biased machines.
  • Perform alignment and geometry checks.
  • Utilise hand tools and test equipment to meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinate workload and mechanical activities with customers.
  • Work with site Manufacturing Engineers to understand and restore equipment.
  • Follow control standards and procedures.
Experience and Skills Required:
  • Must have completed an advanced modern engineering apprenticeship and an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Good understanding of maintenance operations and fault finding.
  • Basic IT literacy and ability to work from engineering drawings.
