Overview

Maintenance Technician – Craigavon

We’re working with a leading food manufacturer who supply big-name retailers across the UK. They’re growing steadily and now have an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their team in Craigavon.

Responsibilities

You’ll be part of a skilled engineering team carrying out a mix of reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance, project work and site services support. It’s a busy, fast-paced environment where production is king, so you’ll need to be hands-on, adaptable, and confident troubleshooting issues to keep things running smoothly.

What’s on offer

• £19.60 per hour basic rate, reviewed annually
• Average annual earnings of £48k+ for standard rota (with realistic potential to earn £54k+ if you pick up extra hours/overtime)
• Time and a half overtime rates plus shift premiums
• 28 days’ holiday (3 fixed over Christmas, the rest flexible)
• Set Monday–Friday daytime hours with occasional evening cover
• Night shifts and weekend days are planned fairly on a yearly rota – spread out evenly across the team
• Additional weekend on-call allowance

The team is tight-knit, supportive, and value the fact they don’t run continental shifts. The current rota gives everyone a fair share while keeping work–life balance intact.

What we’re looking for

• A multi-skilled background in maintenance/engineering
• Experience within food manufacturing or FMCG would be ideal
• A proactive approach – able to handle both breakdowns and long-term PPM/projects
• Comfortable working safely in line with food safety and H&S requirements
