The Royal Agricultural University (RAU) has been at the forefront of agricultural education for 180 years and is renowned for its links with industry and courses designed to meet the demands of the land-based sector.
We are seeking an experienced technician to join the University’s Maintenance Technician team within the Estates and IT directorate. The team ensures the upkeep, repairs, and maintenance of the University’s buildings, focusing on electrical or mechanical services and equipment, carried out safely and efficiently.
The successful candidate will hold a recognized Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification (or equivalent) and have experience in a maintenance or service environment, or a background in electrical or mechanical installation. Competency in Microsoft Office and a valid driving license or mobility equivalent are essential. The role involves lifting and moving equipment weighing up to 25kg.
This position reports to the Estates Team Leader and requires effective communication with all levels across the University to perform tasks efficiently.
