Description

A role as a Maintenance technician in a multi-skilled maintenance team, responsible for planned and reactive maintenance of HBS, arrivals, and central search CT X-ray / ATRS systems at LLA. The role covers 24 hours a day / 365 days a year, working a 5-week shift pattern of 12-hour days and nights.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical

• Fault finding skills on ATRS / CT X-ray, automated PLC / SCADA controlled systems.

Time Management

• Able to manage on-shift time effectively.

Communication

• Good communication skills with customers.
• Record keeping, spares usage, and shift reports via PPM management system.
• Hand over any outstanding issues to the incoming shift.

Team Working

• Working as part of a team with 2 maintenance technicians per 12-hour shift.

Cross-Functional Working

• Build relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve successful project completion.
• Point of contact for LLA baggage system manager if maintenance manager is unavailable.

Health & Safety

• Follow and promote Group and Company policies and procedures.
• Ensure all equipment and PPE are properly used.

• Multi-skilled technician with electronic, electrical, and mechanical experience.
• Fault finding on control panels, network, and field bus systems.
• Fault finding on conveyor systems.
• Planned maintenance on electrical/mechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.
• Good communication skills.
• PC literate with report writing ability.

• Fault finding on PLC / SCADA systems.
• Potential to cover on-call support.
• Experience with CT X-ray and ATRS systems.

Experience

• Proven experience of reactive and planned maintenance.
• Checkable 5-year work history to obtain airside pass.
• DBS clearance.

• Wide-ranging technical background.
• Experience in automation, material handling, conveyor systems, ATRS, CT X-ray, control systems, electrical power systems.

Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds / HNC / HND in Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical, or equivalent.
