Maintenance Technician

We’re now on the lookout for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team at Turing Locke, Cambridge. If you’ve got a toolbelt full of experience, a knack for fixing things, and pride in keeping spaces looking their best, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing

• Carrying out a variety of maintenance tasks across the property, including basic plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, decorating, and general repairs.

• Supporting both planned preventative maintenance and urgent reactive work to keep the building safe, functional, and looking great.

• Assisting and supervising third-party contractors when needed, ensuring all work meets our high standards.

• Working closely with other departments to ensure a seamless experience for our guests.

• Logging completed tasks, reporting issues, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

What we’re looking for

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a hands-on maintenance role.

• NVQ Level 2 in an engineering discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).

• A flexible, can-do attitude and a willingness to roll up your sleeves for decorating and general upkeep tasks.

• Someone who is practical, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

• Ideally, you’re based locally to the Cambridge area and available to support on-site needs when required.
