Job description

Job Opportunity: Maintenance Technician

We are supporting a well-established pharmaceutical manufacturer in South Wales seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their engineering team on a 12-month contract.

This role is essential in maintaining production continuity through planned and reactive maintenance of a variety of equipment. If you are hands-on, electrically biased, and thrive in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform maintenance on process equipment, HVAC systems, boilers, compressors, and more.
  2. Conduct electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs.
  3. Support the integration of new machinery and participate in continuous improvement projects.
  4. Maintain GMP and safety standards during all interventions.
  5. Utilize CMMS tools (e.g., Maximo) to log activities and enhance efficiency.
Required Experience:
  1. HNC/ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Completed engineering apprenticeship in a regulated industry.
  3. Experience with cleanroom controls, HVAC, SCADA systems, and electrical systems (18th Edition knowledge preferred).
  4. Familiarity with CMMS platforms and safety protocols.
  5. Ability to work in various environments (plant rooms, cleanrooms, shop floor, etc.).
