Maintenance Technician (Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm)

What is a Maintenance Technician?
The maintenance technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to relevant current legislation/regulations, health and safety, maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. They are expected to support production needs as and when required.

What to expect?
  • Maintain critical equipment through reactive, planned, and preventative activities.
  • Prioritise planned & reactive work orders through guidance from Engineering Supervisor.
  • Support key stakeholders within a timely & professional manner.
  • Keep all records up to date through CCMS system.
  • Report to Engineering Supervisor with solutions on Major & Chronic breakdowns.
  • Manage on site contractors through PTW & RAMS.
  • Lead problem solving & continuous improvement to boost efficiency.
  • Carry out project work & installations to current UK Regulations.
  • Demonstrate good housekeeping at all times.
  • Make sure food hygiene and food safety standards are upheld at all times.
  • Ensure smooth handovers across shifts and communicate effectively with other department members.
Does this sound like you?
  • Applicants should either have a strong academic track record in process engineering related discipline, or be a time served maintenance technician with process control experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, Manufacturing or related Engineering discipline, or a time served Maintenance Technician with suitable experience in a production environment.
  • At least five years' experience in ideally a food manufacturing environment.
  • A proven track record in production technical processes, continuous improvement / OEE.
  • Confidence in all areas of MS Office
  • Experience with operating a CMMS System.
  • IOSHH - would be an advantage
  • Legionella - would be an advantage.
  • Experience of PLCs, variable speed drives and fault-finding would be an advantage.
