Qualifications

  • Completion of a relevant engineering apprenticeship is ideal.
  • Experience with fixed and mobile plant maintenance is required.

Job description

What will I be doing?

We'll be looking for you to provide planned and reactive maintenance for all areas of the plant based at our Altens East Materials Recycling Facility:

  • Ensuring plant installations and modifications meet the latest standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support colleagues across different functions to seek opportunities for continuous improvements, driving change to reduce maintenance costs and improve overall efficiency.

The working hours are Monday - Friday.

What are the requirements?

You will have a predominantly Mechanical background with basic electrical knowledge:

  • Ideally Completion of a relevant engineering apprenticeship.
  • Qualified to City and Guilds level or NVQ level 3.
  • Experience of working with and maintaining fixed and mobile plant.
  • Health and Safety qualification(s), such as IOSH Managing Safely.
  • Experience of working with 'Lean' manufacturing techniques.
  • Having hands-on knowledge of equipment including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and hydraulics.
  • The ability to use Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
