Job summary

LGH Hotels Management is seeking a hands-on Hotel Maintenance Team Member to help keep lighting, heating, fixtures, and equipment functioning smoothly at the Holiday Inn London Heathrow M4J4. You’ll work with the Maintenance Manager and hotel team, carry out a range of maintenance tasks, respond to emergencies, and help ensure safety and cleanliness across the property.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in a hotel or facilities environment.
• Ability to diagnose and fix basic electrical, plumbing and mechanical issues.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and working to health & safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks across the hotel, including basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical work.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, resolving issues efficiently and calmly.
• Assist with routine inspections of hotel facilities and equipment, spotting issues early.
• Support the delivery of preventative maintenance programmes to keep systems working.
• Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely and in line with health & safety guidelines.
• Keep accurate records of work completed, parts used, and costs.
• Communicate clearly about issues identified, actions taken, and follow-up required.
• Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and wider hotel team; coordinate contractors and suppliers.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Day-to-Day Maintenance Support

• Carry out a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks across the hotel, including basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical work.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, resolving issues efficiently and calmly.

Preventative Care & Attention to Detail

• Assist with routine inspections of hotel facilities and equipment, spotting issues early and helping prevent disruption.
• Support the delivery of preventative maintenance programmes that keep everything working as it should.

Safety, Care & Standards

• Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely and in line with health & safety guidelines and procedures.
• Take pride in maintaining clean, tidy, and safe working areas at all times.

Teamwork & Communication

• Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and wider hotel team, supporting tasks and projects as required.
• Assist with coordinating contractors and suppliers, helping ensure work is completed to a good standard and within agreed timescales.

Records & Responsibility

• Keep accurate records of work completed, parts used, and any relevant costs.
• Communicate clearly about issues identified, actions taken, and follow-up required.
