Salary £45,000 – £50,000

Hours Monday to Friday – 40 hrs per week. Double days plus occasional night shift on a rota basis.

We are currently recruiting for a well-established global manufacturer in Telford who is looking for an experienced Maintenance Team Leader to join their team. As the Maintenance Team Leader, you will lead a small team of maintenance technicians, allocate daily workload, ensure KPIs are met, develop team performance, and provide leadership. You will also be hands-on with maintenance activities such as responding to breakdowns, conducting preventative maintenance, ensuring machinery runs efficiently, and supporting continuous improvement activities.

We seek a multiskilled individual, ideally electrically biased, with previous experience leading maintenance teams and strong leadership qualities.

The Maintenance Team Leader will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing a small team of maintenance technicians
  • Allocating daily workload and monitoring performance
  • Planning and managing preventative maintenance
  • Ensuring KPIs and quality standards are met
  • Responding to machine breakdowns and faults, conducting mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Supporting onsite continuous improvement activities
  • Communicating faults and issues across shifts and departments
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations

Skills and Experience

  • Multiskilled, ideally electrically biased but not essential
  • Leadership experience in maintenance roles
  • Fault finding and repairing pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, and robots
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments such as food, FMCG, or automotive
  • Suitable for candidates with roles like Maintenance Team Leader, Supervisor, or Lead
