Job summary

ATA is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Team Leader to support and coordinate a team of multi-skilled engineers in a busy operation in Milton Keynes. You will split your time between leading the team, coordinating maintenance activities and staying involved in practical engineering tasks.

The role requires an engineering qualification (Level 3+), maintenance and fault-finding experience, and strong communication and organisational skills to motivate and develop others.

Qualifications

• A recognised engineering qualification equivalent to Level 3 or above.
• Experience carrying out maintenance and fault finding within an engineering environment.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to motivate and support others.
• Experience coordinating workloads, projects or people, either formally or informally.
• A proactive approach and a desire to progress your leadership career.

Salary: £53,000 with shift allowance
Shifts: Double Days (rotating 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm)
Overtime: 1.5x MonSat | 2x Sun & Bank Holidays
Holidays: 22 days + 8 Bank Holidays, increasing with service

Requirements

The business is very open to candidates from a wide range of engineering backgrounds and industries. They are interested in engineers who have some leadership exposure through mentoring, coordinating work, supporting apprentices or deputising for management.

Ideally, you will have:

• A recognised engineering qualification equivalent to a Level 3 or above (NVQ, City and Guilds, BTEC, ONC, HNC etc.).
• Experience carrying out maintenance and fault finding within an engineering environment.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to motivate and support others.
• Experience coordinating workloads, projects or people, either formally or informally.
• A proactive approach and a desire to progress your leadership career.
