Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group is recruiting for a Maintenance Team Leader in a leading manufacturing site. You will plan and deliver maintenance across the site, leading a small team to improve reliability and uptime.

Ideal candidates will have significant manufacturing maintenance leadership experience, strong people management skills, and a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement within ISO-compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Significant maintenance/engineering experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Team Leader, Supervisor or similar.
• Strong people management and leadership skills.
• Experience with appraisals, performance management and team development.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Teams.
• A strong understanding of Health & Safety and operational compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of three Maintenance Technicians.
• Plan and prioritise preventative maintenance, breakdown response and improvement projects.
• Own and manage the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programme.
• Coordinate effective responses to machinery and equipment breakdowns.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Manage maintenance spares and consumables.
• Set objectives, conduct appraisals and support the development of team members.
• Manage performance, attendance and conduct where required.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Facilities and Senior Management.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs including downtime, breakdown trends, response times and repeat failures.
• Drive continuous improvement across maintenance processes.
• Promote high standards of Health & Safety and operational compliance.
• Support adherence to ISO and quality requirements.
