Astute’s Renewables team are working with a leading renewable energy provider, known for its strong focus on sustainability and professional development, to recruit a Maintenance Team Leader for its Riverside site.

Responsibilities and Duties

Reporting to the Site Leader, you will:

* Lead the Maintenance Team, ensuring full compliance with legal, health & safety, and environmental standards.
* Develop and manage preventative and reactive maintenance plans to meet operational, compliance, and output targets.
* Coordinate resources for maintenance activities, ensuring timely response to reduce production downtime.
* Monitor and assess maintenance KPIs, using trend data to drive a culture of data-led decision-making.
* Complete fault diagnosis and resolution to prevent reoccurrence.
* Plan and oversee shutdowns, ensuring all parts, labour, and safety protocols are in place.
* Manage the sites maintenance budget in collaboration with the Site Leader.
* Ensure all PPMs are completed and documented; analyse equipment failures to identify root causes.
* Maintain the site’s inventory and spare parts system, contributing to the ongoing FMECA study.
* Oversee contractor activities, ensuring safety protocols and compliance are maintained.
* Support the implementation of company-wide safety initiatives and best practices.

Professional Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

* A recognised engineering or technical qualification (e.g., HNC, HND, or equivalent).
* Proven experience in leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Strong knowledge of compliance regulations and safety standards.
* Experience managing budgets and maintenance planning tools (e.g., CMMS).
* Familiarity with Management of Change and continuous improvement processes.
