Job Title: Maintenance Team Leader

Department: Maintenance

Reports to: Chief Engineer

Job Overview

As a Maintenance Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day engineering and maintenance of your hotel, ensuring the safety and comfort of guests and team members. You will ensure all activities are conducted safely, meet compliance standards, and contribute to maintaining the hotel's excellent appearance.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
2. Communicate major issues to the Chief Engineer to stay informed of maintenance needs and ensure timely responses.
3. Assist guests and ensure their satisfaction.
4. Utilize maintenance programs to keep the hotel in optimal condition for guests.
5. Assist with the physical operations of the hotel, including maintenance, repairs, and timely ordering of parts and supplies, while minimizing waste and supporting green initiatives.
6. Perform ad-hoc duties as needed to support team efforts.
7. Carry out small electrical works and other building maintenance tasks.
8. Possess a high level of building skills, including painting, plastering, carpentry, decorating, with an electrical bias.
9. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
10. Lead by example and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
11. Experience with Opera property management system is highly desirable.
12. Be flexible with shift patterns and weekend work.
13. Schedule and follow preventive planned maintenance to high standards.
14. Knowledge of plant rooms and air conditioning systems is desirable.
15. Build strong relationships with all departments, demonstrating excellent teamwork.
16. Maintain a professional appearance and high grooming standards.
