A leading leisure business in the UK is seeking a skilled Maintenance Surveyor to oversee maintenance operations for a national estate. This hybrid role involves ensuring compliance and managing contractors across multiple sites. Ideal candidates will have a background in building surveying and strong communication skills. JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? Do you thrive on juggling multiple projects, managing contractors, and ensuring buildings are safe, compliant, and well-maintained?
We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Surveyor to join our Property team. Based in the Midlands with a national remit, you will be responsible for overseeing planned and reactive maintenance across our UK estate, making sure our venues stay safe, functional, and to a high standard.
Key skills and responsibilities include:
• Confident in driving maintenance operations across multiple sites.
• Expert in building surveying, compliance, and statutory testing.
• Skilled in managing contractors and driving ‘first fix’ success.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems, HVAC, and building fabric.
• Able to plan and deliver capital works and major repairs.
• Excellent communicator with a customer-first mindset.
• Budget-savvy and commercially aware.
• Proactive, organised, and great under pressure.
• Degree/HNC in Building Surveying or Construction (RICS/CIOB preferred).
• Experience in leisure, hospitality or retail multi-site operations is advantageous.
• Comfortable with CAFM systems and reporting tools.
• Full UK driving licence required.
This is a hybrid role working 1 day per week from the Birmingham office, with regional travel as and when required.
