We’re working in partnership with a local authority in West Yorkshire to recruit a skilled and proactive Surveyor for a temporary assignment. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the council’s building maintenance and asset management initiatives, while applying your technical expertise across a diverse range of projects.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver expert advice on building maintenance and surveying, ensuring high standards across all works and services.
  • Prepare comprehensive specifications for assigned projects, including planning, monitoring, and execution.
  • Conduct stock condition surveys and support the development of the Asset Management Plan and Investment Strategy.
  • Carry out professional estimating and quantity surveying duties, from initial contract review to final account agreement.
  • Lead and manage programmes, schemes, and maintenance contracts, offering specialist input throughout.
  • Provide expert guidance on structural defects and oversee related specialist works.
  • Collaborate with your Team Leader and fellow Surveyors to analyse performance data and drive service improvements.
What We’re Looking For

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel independently across Kirklees.
