Job description

Maintenance Surveyor needed in South East London - Paying £23.19 per hr - ref 000A 30B8 /1

Full-time hours on a temporary basis

Join our team as a Maintenance Surveyor, where you’ll play a key role in managing a £10m regional budget, overseeing contractor performance, and ensuring our homes meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  1. Deliver an effective and efficient Repairs & Maintenance service, including disrepair works, major/complex works, FRA, responsive repairs, voids, and adaptations.
  2. Conduct diagnostic inspections, surveys, and post-inspections, providing accurate technical advice and reports.
  3. Act as the technical lead during the handover of new developments, ensuring quality control through to completion and end of defects.
  4. Manage insurance claims, including inspections, decants, and liaison with loss adjusters.
  5. Oversee legal disrepair claims and Environmental Health Orders, preparing detailed reports in line with group processes.
  6. Monitor and control a regional budget of approximately £2m, ensuring value for money and compliance with statutory regulations.
  7. Engage and consult with customers, leaseholders, and internal/external stakeholders to ensure high levels of satisfaction and minimal defects.

  2. Strong technical knowledge of building maintenance, repairs, and compliance.

  4. Ability to manage budgets and contractor performance effectively.
