Our client, one of the largest Housing Associations in the South West is looking for a Devon/Cornwall based Surveyor who would be available for a three-to-six-month contract.
The hourly rate for this role is £35.00 per hour via an Umbrella Company, to achieve this rate a proven track record of providing expertise on cyclical/planned maintenance programmes is required.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing budgets, contract administration, cyclical maintenance programmes and liaising with neighborhood officers/tenant liaison officers to provide updates on the timescale of works.
The duties for the role can be found below:
Undertaking pre and post inspections on void properties, ensuring that the properties adhere to the organisation’s lettable standards.
Acting as the expertise point on works including Planned Maintenance, Minor Works, Refurbishment Works, and Health and Safety (Fire).
Producing detailed reports post-survey, including options for remedial works and costs to provide a business case.
Maintaining and updating knowledge of current building regulations, ensuring to inform colleagues of changes that could affect the day-to-day running of the Planned Maintenance Programme.
Having a strong understanding of budgets, acting as the lead on contract discussions and ensuring all works are completed within pre-agreed budgets.
Requirements:
Social Housing contract management experience.
Experience of overseeing budgets circa £500k.
Experience monitoring KPIs to ensure contract health.
Working hours:
40 hours per week.
Monday – Friday, flexible working hours.
