Maintenance Surveyor

Chester

£42,400 - £44,631 per year plus Company car or car allowance

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday

We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Surveyor to join our Housing and Property team, based in Chester. The role is primarily lone working, within a team of 6 surveyors covering Sanctuary properties in the North West regions with some inspections in Liverpool.

The role of Maintenance Surveyor will include:
  • Undertaking property inspections in line with organisational policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and contract performance
  • Project management of planned works
  • Attending and contributing to onsite meetings
  • Coordinating and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring they are kept informed of progress by providing clear and precise updates
  • Managing external contractors to ensure maintenance work is carried out in accordance with contract specifications and programmes
  • Carry out stock condition surveys as required
Skills and experiences:
  • To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to AssocRIC, MRICS CIOB, Degree, HND or HNC in Surveying or Construction or currently undertaking the qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in working with others to deliver property related works, including indirect reports and third-party suppliers
  • Experience of working within a building, surveying and maintenance environment
  • Working knowledge of legislations and best practice
  • Proficient user of Microsoft packages
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
