Maintenance Supervisor/Team Leader - Belfast - Days - Salary up to £46000 (DoE)

Your Company

Our client has been in operation for over thirty years and is one of the UK’s leading specialist producers in their field.

Your Role

As a Maintenance Supervisor/Team Leader, your main responsibilities include developing, implementing, and managing maintenance strategies to ensure efficient operation and control of plant, machinery, and equipment, aiming to maximize output and minimize downtime.

On shift, your core duties will include:

  • Leading, managing, and motivating a team of engineers in line with company strategy and business plans, including performance management, team development, and succession planning.
  • Creating and fostering a culture of continuous improvement by implementing monitoring and control systems for plant and machinery.
  • Developing and implementing a structured preventative maintenance system, including activities, spare parts and stock management, routine maintenance jobs, and asset listing.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant food quality standards such as BRC and customer requirements, with procedures documented and regularly audited.
  • Maintaining all equipment to a safe standard, complying with legislation.
  • Setting annual departmental goals and creating plans to achieve them.

Requirements

Candidates should demonstrate:

  • At least four years’ experience in a similar role.
  • An engineering qualification or apprenticeship.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership skills to guide shift engineers.
  • Experience in developing and managing preventative maintenance and TPM systems.

Preferred additional skills include:

  • Experience in health and safety standards and best practices.
  • Mechanical and electrical engineering experience.
