Maintenance Supervisor II

AAMCI is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at a 165-unit Multifamily Project-Based Section 8 / Tax Credit property in Lancaster, South Carolina.

The community is an affordable housing community with rent subsidy, providing housing to income-qualified residents. In this position, AAMCI expects strong customer service, safety management, skill-set development, and time management with the goal to create a home and strong communities in which each of our residents can thrive.

This position participates in emergency on-call duties for evenings, weekends, and holidays, and pays a premium rate for each call-out. Pay will start at $29-$31 per hour based on experience.

AAMCI provides many training opportunities and paid opportunities to obtain higher-level certificates.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Diagnose mechanical problems
  • Assemble, install, and repair wiring, electrical, or electronic components
  • Assemble pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment
  • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and testing devices
  • Complete work orders
  • Paint and drywall repair
  • Order parts as necessary
  • Record type and cost of repair work

Qualifications necessary for success:

  • HVAC/EPA Certification required
  • Ability to adhere to work safety protocols
  • Ability to perform duties including lifting, climbing, standing, bending, loading, unloading, and working outdoors in inclement weather
  • Valid Driver's License required

Benefits include: company-paid medical inquiries, shared-cost medical insurance, company-paid dental and vision insurance, employee-paid short-term disability, company-paid long-term and life insurance.

AAMCI offers a generous 401K program with company matching up to 5% of annual pay. Eligibility begins after one year of employment. Enrollment occurs in January, April, June, and September annually.

Holiday benefits include 8 Federal holidays, 1 Floating Federal/holiday, 1 community volunteer day, and 1 personal holiday.

Paid Time Off (PTO) accrues with each pay period: 16 days annually for years 1-4, 21 days for years 5-9, and 26 days after 10 years of service.
