Static Technical Supervisor – Facilities Maintenance

Location: Yeovil
Salary: £45,000–£50,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent

A leading facilities management provider is seeking a Static Technical Supervisor for a high-profile commercial site in Yeovil. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to take responsibility for the technical delivery on site while leading and supporting a team of engineers.

The Role The Static Technical Supervisor will oversee all day-to-day technical operations, ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is delivered efficiently, safely, and to the required standards. You will act as the key technical point of contact for the client, ensuring statutory compliance and health & safety obligations are consistently met, while fostering a motivated and high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise on-site engineers and subcontractors.
  • Manage planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance for all M&E systems.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements and health & safety standards.
  • Act as primary technical liaison with the client, providing guidance and solutions.
  • Support scheduling, reporting, audits, and team performance reviews.
  • Promote a proactive, safe, and efficient work environment.

Candidate Requirements

  • Recognised qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Strong technical knowledge of building services systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
  • Proven experience supervising or leading a maintenance team in a commercial setting.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

Package

  • £45,000–£50,000 per annum, permanent contract.
  • Monday to Friday, 40-hour working week.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
