Overview

Biggs Property Management is seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to support our Southern Region in overseeing multiple communities. This hands-on role ensures properties are well-maintained, meet performance targets, and deliver outstanding experiences for residents while upholding regulatory and ownership objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintenance Leadership
    • Direct and perform maintenance tasks, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general carpentry.
    • Support the training and development of Maintenance Technicians to meet high operational standards.
    • Conduct periodic inspections to ensure asset preservation and compliance.
  2. Property Operations
    • Manage property maintenance budgets and ensure cost-efficient operations.
    • Oversee unit readiness and work order completion to maintain property performance.
    • Use Yardi software for tracking maintenance requests and ensuring timely resolutions.
  3. Compliance and Client Relations
    • Support regulatory inspections and ensure adherence to housing program requirements.
    • Assist with rehabilitation projects and new asset development in collaboration with the Development team.
    • Maintain strong relationships with property owners, lenders, and other stakeholders.
  4. Team Collaboration
    • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment through leadership and coaching.
    • Partner with Property Managers to align maintenance efforts with financial goals.
  5. Emergency Response
    • Address urgent maintenance issues promptly, such as safety risks or system failures.
    • Provide oversight during emergency situations as needed.
Qualifications
  • Experience in multifamily property maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in property management.
  • Proficiency in property management software (Yardi).
  • Budget management experience.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between properties as needed.
