Qualifications

  • Must have strong electrical and mechanical maintenance skills.
  • Time-served apprentice or NVQ qualified in Maintenance Engineering required.
  • Experience in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies preferred.

At Heidelberg Materials, we're looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to drive performance, safety, and reliability across our operations.

Location: Cliffe Hill

Hours: 40 pw

Your Mission

As Maintenance Supervisor, you'll be the go-to expert for all mechanical and electrical maintenance on shift. You'll lead from the front-ensuring equipment runs efficiently, safely, and sustainably. You'll also play a key role in shaping our journey to "Best in Class" through Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma tools.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead and coordinate all maintenance activities on shift.

Drive improvements in OEE and maintenance KPIs.

Manage and supervise contractors and the on-site TPM team.

Plan and implement preventative and reactive maintenance strategies.

Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

Use Lean and Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste and boost efficiency.

Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Key Performance Goals

Achieve and sustain 85%+ OEE.

Improve Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).

Reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).

Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and work orders.

What You'll Bring

Time-served apprentice or NVQ in Maintenance Engineering (Level 3+).

HNC/HND in Maintenance Engineering (desirable).

Green Belt Six Sigma certified.

IOSH Managing Safely qualified.

Strong mechanical engineering skills; electrical knowledge is a bonus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT systems.

NVQ Level 4 in SHE Quarry Operations (advantageous).

A proactive, hands-on leader with excellent communication and motivational skills.
