Overview

Branta Recruitment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor (Electrical Bias) to join a prestigious static commercial site in Cheshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician with a background in commercial property maintenance to step into a site leadership role.

As Maintenance Supervisor, youll take ownership of all on-site technical service delivery, leading a small team of engineers while also remaining hands-on when needed. Youll be the main point of contact for all electrical and technical maintenance matters, ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality service aligned with compliance and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the site lead for all electrical and technical maintenance activities
  • Supervise and coordinate a small in-house maintenance team
  • Oversee planned, reactive, and corrective maintenance works across the site
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Plan and schedule workloads, assigning tasks and managing priorities
  • Liaise with and manage specialist subcontractors where needed
  • Identify and implement opportunities for service improvement and cost-efficiency
  • Provide quotations for small works and additional services
  • Deliver hands-on electrical support in emergencies or to cover absence
  • Champion maintenance best practice and compliance across the site

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical Installation or Maintenance
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or senior engineer role within commercial property/FM
  • Strong understanding of building services, compliance, and health & safety legislation
  • Experience using CAFM/work order systems and planning maintenance activities
  • Excellent organisational, communication and people management skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and provide clear instruction or guidance
  • Capable of delivering high-quality maintenance works when required
