  • Ensure effective handover, ownership and closure of outstanding maintenance issues.

Reliability & Continuous Improvement
  • Drive improvement in equipment reliability, availability and maintenance performance.

  • Identify recurring and high-impact equipment failures and ensure structured Root Cause Analysis is completed with effective corrective actions.

  • Work with the Reliability Engineer and wider Engineering team to optimise preventative, predictive and condition-based maintenance strategies.

  • Support implementation of Operator Asset Care, defining appropriate operator inspection, cleaning, lubrication and escalation standards.

CMMS, Spares & Obsolescence
  • Ensure effective use of the CMMS, maintaining accurate work orders, asset history, failure data and maintenance records.

  • Use maintenance data to identify trends, recurring failures and improvement opportunities.

  • Manage critical equipment spares, balancing operational risk, lead time, cost and inventory.

  • Identify equipment and component obsolescence risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans with Engineering and Procurement.

Supplier & Cost Management
  • Manage maintenance suppliers, OEMs, specialist service providers and contractors.

  • Monitor supplier performance, service quality, response and value for money.

  • Support management of the maintenance budget, identifying key cost drivers and opportunities for cost reduction without compromising safety or reliability.

  • Support forecasting and justification of maintenance-related capital expenditure.

Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure maintenance activities are planned and completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and applicable legislation.

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure appropriate risk assessments, isolations, permits and safe systems of work are followed.

  • Ensure equipment is returned to production in a safe and controlled condition following maintenance intervention.

  • Support equipment-related safety investigations, statutory inspections and corrective actions.
