Job Opportunity: Engineering Supervisor

Our client is a leading heavy industry manufacturer, and due to their continued success, Staffbase has been appointed to recruit for the position of Engineering Supervisor.

The successful applicant will lead a small team of maintenance engineers at our client's busy manufacturing plant near Stafford.

The Role:

The Maintenance Shift Supervisor will provide hands-on maintenance supervision for a small team of engineers. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

1. Supervising a team of engineers to ensure effective delivery of planned and reactive maintenance in a busy heavy industry plant.
2. Providing hands-on training and supervision to engineers.
3. Updating maintenance schedules / PPM and producing accurate hand-over sheets for incoming maintenance teams.
4. Working on motors, inverters, contactors, sensors, relays, switchgear, PLC fault finding and repair (Siemens).
5. Performing mechanical maintenance and repair of machinery, including furnaces, foundry plant, conveyors, overhead cranes, heat treatment, cooling plant, and more.
6. Managing contractors and ordering spare/replacement parts.

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will be an experienced multi-skilled maintenance engineer with supervisory experience.

Ideally, candidates will have previous experience in heavy industry manufacturing sectors such as steel, aggregates, mining, etc., with at least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience.

Excellent 3-phase electrical installation, fault finding, and repair skills are highly desirable.

Hours of Work:

12-hour days, Monday to Thursday, and 12-hour nights, Tuesday to Friday, rotating every month.
