We are now recruiting for a Maintenance Shift Engineer to join a well-established and successful team at the Flemings Hotel Mayfair.

What about the job?

In this role you will assist the Maintenance team with daily maintenance defects, preventative maintenance, decorating, plumbing, and basic electrical work within the hotel.

Some of the duties are:

1. To respond to maintenance requests and operations from hotel guests and staff
2. To help keep technical equipment well-maintained
3. To identify problems and defects, and help resolve them
4. Provide assistance with scheduled and preventative maintenance operations
5. To have a thorough knowledge of the operation of all plant, boiler and air conditioning and heating equipment in the hotel and maintain in an efficient working order.
6. Assisting your colleagues with any reasonable request
7. To carry out emergency repairs affecting guest bedrooms and services with an immediate effect
8. To check all maintenance stock on a regular basis and report to your manager when stock is low
9. To ensure all security procedures laid down by the hotel are strictly adhered to. This is to include the use of a work register for outside contractors.

What about you?

We are looking for someone with at least 2 years experience in a similar role in the hospitality sector. You will be a self-motivated individual with a friendly and polite disposition. For the most part, you will be working autonomously therefore, good organizational skills and time management skills will be essential.

This role requires a multiskilled handy person able to carry out basic maintenance tasks like: grouting, painting, basic plumbing and electrical jobs, descaling and applying silicone are some of the basic tasks required.

40 hours per week distributed in 5 days, weekends are normal working days. No night work involved.
