Job Purpose:

The Electrical Section Leader is a pivotal position in the delivery of maintenance. The role is responsible for the planning and conducting of all maintenance in their area of responsibility to the correct standards of quality. This will require the allocation of resources (people and spares) to meet the service delivery output.

What you will do:

  • Have line manager responsibilities and be accountable for all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance across designated area.
  • Work with the allocated planner to review the 12-week maintenance plan and schedule, ensuring the correct workforce is available to conduct the required maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure engineering standards, safety, health, fatigue levels, and morale are maintained.
  • Ensure all operatives and supervisors understand the scope of work allocated and the required timescales.
  • Manage the planning of stores required for maintenance tasks, ensuring they are ordered in advance to avoid delays due to unavailable spares.
  • Be aware of site and facility issues that may prevent maintenance and replan as necessary.
  • Identify any incomplete planned or reactive maintenance to the planner for rescheduling, and inform the Maintenance Manager.
  • Record issues impacting maintenance delivery in logs and discuss them regularly with the Maintenance Manager.
