Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Maintenance Scheduler to establish and maintain a forward service delivery plan aligned with customer programmes. You will proactively identify conflicts, maximise capacity and play a key role in facilitating solutions with Facility Managers and Engineers.

The role focuses on developing the forthcoming programme of works, coordinating resources, and ensuring records are closed out according to the facility plan.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an operational planning environment is preferable.
  • Knowledge of planning tools and project planning abilities.
  • Strong communication with customers, suppliers and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Define forthcoming programme of works using the Asset Management System.
  • Develop and evaluate the plan, prioritising tasks and avoiding conflicts.
  • Record actions and approvals through regular liaison with Facility Managers/Engineers.
  • Process and follow up work packages with management and supervisors.
  • Print and pass work dockets to the appropriate engineer.

About The Role

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 7:45 - 16:30 + 9 day fortnight

The Maintenance Scheduler will establish, analyse and maintain an accurate forward service delivery plan aligned with customer programme schedules. Proactively identify and facilitate solutions to potential technical, logistical and resource conflicts, maximising delivery capacity, resource utilisation and plant efficiency.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Through the Asset Management System, define the forthcoming programme of works
  • within the zone
  • Develop the proposed plan, evaluating resource requirements, the relative priority of tasks
  • and ensuring that activities do not conflict.
  • Gain and record actions and approvals for the plan, by liaison with the facilities
  • designated representatives (Facility Manager and/or Facility Engineers) through regular
  • meetings.
  • Undertake the processing and following up of work packages, through close liaison with
  • management and supervisors to meet the requirements of the facility plan ensuring that
  • records are closed out.
  • Print off work dockets as and when required, and pass these on to the appropriate engineer.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Practical experience in an operational environment is preferable. Knowledge of planning tools is desired & have project planning abilities
  • GCSE grades A to C in English Language; Mathematics
  • Excellent level of interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to converse with customers, suppliers and staff at all levels
  • Proven ability to provide a high standard of support in administrative principles, including the ability to implement systems and processes to proactively resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute as a member of a team to achieve positive outcomes and provide a quality service
