Job description

Are you a Scheduler with a background in the Utilities or Highways sector looking for a new challenge? Procter and Street is partnering with a well-established Civil Engineering Company to expand their team. This is a new role due to increased workload, and you would become a valuable member of a welcoming and energetic team.

As a Scheduler, you will play an instrumental part in the coordination and planning of Highway Maintenance schemes, communicating effectively with Inspectors reporting the defects, and the Maintenance Team who deliver and complete the workload.

Responsibilities

  1. Answer phone and email inquiries from customers and Inspectors.
  2. Efficiently schedule Supervisors to respond to Corrective and Preventative Maintenance calls.
  3. Schedule accepted quoted works and revisits.
  4. Liaise with and schedule works for subcontractors.
  5. Obtain permits and supply Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) where necessary.
  6. Record costings agreed with customers clearly in the service management system.
  7. Analyze system fault reports and book call-outs accordingly.
  8. Communicate with Supervisors to ensure schedules are being followed and address any issues or delays.

What are we looking for?

Ideally, candidates will have experience in either the Highways or Utilities sectors. Additionally, we are looking for:

  1. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure.
  2. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  3. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  4. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Attention to detail and strong administration skills.
  6. Willingness to be Office-based.
