Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to assist the Roofing Technician in completing all repair and improvement work safely, efficiently, and to client satisfaction. You will communicate effectively with internal office staff, colleagues, managers, and customers, and perform other duties as appropriate to the job level, including providing support to colleagues as directed by the manager.

The successful applicant will be competent in aspects of the building trade, with roofing experience being an advantage. You will be a team player capable of querying jobs and liaising with office staff and managers. You should have the ability to plan and prioritize workloads, working to deadlines and targets. A full awareness of relevant H&S requirements is essential. Strong customer service skills are also vital, as you will be dealing with members of the public regularly.

Key Accountabilities:

• Providing reactive maintenance services to the retail sector; roofing maintenance experience in a retail environment is essential, with plumbing experience being advantageous.
• Assessing the requirements of works and carrying out repairs as necessary.
• Prioritizing maintenance and repair works to meet agreed timescales and response times; previous experience in this environment is favorable.
• The role may require travel across various regions of the contract.
• IT literacy and the use of tablet technology are essential for updating and completing work administration.
• High levels of customer service skills are key due to frequent client and customer interactions.
• A flexible attitude towards working hours is required to accommodate the contract and client needs.
• A proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills is expected.
• A clean, current driving license is essential for the position.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Experience in other maintenance roles is advantageous, though not essential, as training will be provided.
• Health & Safety certifications such as CSCS, SPA, IPAF, PASMA would be beneficial.
