Are you a hands-on engineering leader with a background in bottling or fast-paced FMCG environments?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our clients bottling manufacturing facility where you’ll have the freedom to take ownership, drive change, and really make this role your own.

We’re working with a highly respected manufacturing site within the spirits industry, where engineering is at the heart of their bottling operations. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll act as the lead on all bottling-related maintenance activities, while coaching and developing a small team of engineers.

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Leading and motivating a team of up to 3 Bottling Engineers
  • Being a visible leader on the shop floor, setting direction and prioritising daily activities
  • Driving fault finding and root cause analysis – getting to the heart of the issue
  • Reviewing and improving the site’s preventive maintenance schedule
  • Supporting small CI and CAPEX projects across the bottling hall
  • Working cross-functionally with process, production, and operational teams to drive efficiency and bottling excellence
  • Representing the department in operational meetings and deputising for the Maintenance Manager when required

Who we’re looking for:

  • A time-served Electrical or Multi-skilled Engineer (BTEC/HNC minimum)
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills – you’ll guide, motivate, and inspire your team daily
  • Ideally, a background in bottling or FMCG (this is essential unless you bring exceptional leadership and fault-finding capability)
  • Confidence with maintenance KPIs, contractor control, and systems such as SAP, CMMS, or SCADA
  • A strong eye for process and a passion for continuous improvement
  • A natural communicator who enjoys collaborating across functions and getting the best out of others

This is more than just a maintenance role - it’s an opportunity to step up, influence change, and be part of a brilliant team!
