Stride Recruitment is excited to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Plumber to join our long-standing Building Service Provider clients in Swindon, Wiltshire, with a Mechanical or Plumbing background in maintenance.

Main Purpose:

The Maintenance Plumber will be responsible for completing PPM and reactive maintenance checks, including tasks such as water treatment, moving, fire alarm/ahu work, remedial tasks, and full mechanical shutdowns across the hospital.

Accountabilities:
  • To complete PPM and remedial work.
  • To have a ‘can do’ approach to your work ethos.
  • To work within a small maintenance team, including mechanical & electrical shift engineers and a semi-skilled shift engineer, along with a full day team of engineering and support staff.
Requirements:
  • Good all-round technical ability and knowledge of various systems; knowledge of building maintenance is beneficial but not essential.
  • Fully qualified Mechanical Engineer or Plumber with City and Guilds certification.
  • Experience working in commercial or hospital buildings.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to multi-task and be methodical.
  • Pro-active problem-solving approach.
