A leading mechanical engineering company seeks a reactive mechanical engineer to handle duties inside prison establishments. Responsibilities include repairing and replacing fixtures, adhering to strict vetting requirements, and maintaining a high standard of work. Candidates must possess relevant qualifications and experience, along with excellent communication skills. A DBS is essential, and the company supports the vetting process.
You will be working as a day-to-day reactive mechanical engineer, daily tasks will include, repairing pipework, replacing basins and toilets, working in plant rooms etc. You will be working inside the prison establishment, so you must be comfortable in this environment. You may be required to work elsewhere, we work across the public and private sectors, including education establishments, hospitals, high-security prisons, social housing, etc.
You must also be able to pass a strict vetting process, have a DBS (if you do not already have this, we can assist with getting it), NVQ (Level 3 preferred) and CSCS are desirable.
