Job description

Maintenance Planner and Scheduler, Birmingham

Join Mondelēz International as a Maintenance Planner and Scheduler in Birmingham, UK. This role involves planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Screen incoming work orders, identify scope, and analyze planning requirements.
  • Conduct field walks to document job requirements and identify safety hazards.
  • Develop safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, and incorporate safety policies into job plans.
  • Estimate hours, determine skills required, and plan jobs with appropriate detail.
  • Procure equipment and tools, gather technical documents, and prepare job packages.
  • Maintain bills of materials, track maintenance backlog, and close work orders upon completion.
  • Participate in outage planning, risk assessment, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and contractors to develop and communicate weekly schedules.
  • Ensure optimal resource utilization and schedule compliance, reporting regularly on performance.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Understanding of EHS and quality requirements in manufacturing.
  • Experience with contractor control, SAP, and maintenance equipment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • IT proficiency (SAP, MS Office, Microsoft Project).
Context and Environment:

Operate in a 50/50 split between desk scheduling and on-site planning, with flexibility to adapt to plant priorities and breakdown support. Maintain professionalism and safety compliance at all times.

Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Experience with SAP PM preferred.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude essential.
  • Supervisory experience desirable.
Additional Information:

This role reports directly to the Asset Reliability Lead and involves working within a regional business framework managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH, Switzerland. No relocation support is provided.
