Job summary

Emr-Uk in Liverpool is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join the Engineering team. You will coordinate maintenance across fixed and mobile plant, drive uptime improvements, and ensure safety compliance on site.

You will develop and optimise our CMMS, support PPM strategies and shutdown planning, and monitor KPIs such as completed work orders, delays, and expenditures. Collaboration with Operations and Engineering is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and plan all maintenance activities across the site to minimise downtime and ensure compliance with H&S and engineering regulations.
• Develop and improve CMMS to enhance scheduling, resource planning, and documentation.
• Support the Maintenance Manager and Assistant Manager with PPM strategies, shutdown planning, and work order management.
• Track and report KPIs including completed work orders, delays, breakdowns, and expenditures.
• Communicate across departments to share machinery faults, spares requirements, and maintenance updates.
• Raise and monitor purchase requisitions for spare parts and liaise with Engineering Stores to ensure stock availability.
• Work with Operations and Engineering to identify and pursue continuous improvement opportunities.
• Deputise for the Assistant Maintenance Manager or Stores & Purchasing Coordinator when required.
• Collaborate with external contractors and issue permits to work as per company procedures.

About Our Opportunity:

We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our Engineering team at our Liverpool site. This is a key role responsible for coordinating and optimising maintenance activities across fixed and mobile plant, equipment, and facilities. You’ll be instrumental in driving operational efficiency by developing and maintaining systems that support planned preventative maintenance (PPM), improving uptime, and ensuring legal and safety compliance.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Coordinating and planning all maintenance activities across the site to ensure minimal downtime and full compliance with H&S and engineering regulations.

• Supporting the Maintenance Manager and Assistant Manager with the execution of PPM strategies, shutdown planning, and work order management.

• Communicating effectively across departments to ensure machinery faults, spares requirements, and maintenance updates are shared promptly.
