Job summary

McDonald’s is seeking a Maintenance Person to help keep the restaurant clean, safe, and well-maintained, ensuring a consistent, high-quality customer experience.

The role requires availability for shifts across Weekdays and Weekends, including Early Mornings, Afternoons and Evenings. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting interior and exterior areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
• Carrying out maintenance tasks such as painting, varnishing, landscaping and minor non-electrical repairs.
• Maintain and monitor parking facilities for a safe, welcoming environment.
• Receive, organise and rotate food deliveries to support freshness and efficiency.
• Collaborate with restaurant management to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
• Coordinate with external contractors for timely repairs with minimal disruption.
• Keep equipment and facilities in prime working condition.
• Follow training and company guidelines to complete tasks.
• Adhere to safety and hygiene procedures and treat customers and colleagues with courtesy.
• Work as a supportive team member to contribute to a positive environment.

What does a day as a Maintenance Person look like?

As a Maintenance Person, you'll play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the restaurant, covering a varied scope of responsibilities across the site, ensuring the restaurant is set up for success to deliver a great customer experience. Your responsibilities will include:

• Inspecting the restaurant's interior and exterior to ensure all areas meet McDonald's high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
• Carry out a variety of maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, varnishing, and minor non-electrical equipment repairs.

• Support the overall functionality of the restaurant by keeping equipment and facilities in prime working condition.
• Completing tasks in line with training and company guidelines
• Following all workplace safety, hygiene and operational procedures
• Treating customers and colleagues with courtesy and respect
• Working as a supportive team member and contributing to a positive environment

As a key part of the restaurant team, you will work as a supportive colleague and demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm for the standards in all areas of the restaurant inside and out.
