We’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Person to help keep our homes safe, comfortable and well-maintained. You’ll provide essential maintenance support across multiple residential and supported living homes, carrying out a wide range of repair and upkeep tasks to ensure a high standard of living environments.

About the role

About the Role

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll travel between our homes, carrying out a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks. Your responsibilities will include:

General property repairs – joinery, patching, painting, sealing, and tiling

Replacing fixtures and fittings, and installing white goods and safety equipment

Carrying out basic plumbing tasks – unblocking pipes, replacing taps, fixing leaks

Ensuring outdoor areas are tidy and safe – including fencing, paving and basic grounds maintenance

Responding to maintenance requests quickly and efficiently

Helping ensure homes remain operational during emergency maintenance issues

Identifying and escalating more complex repairs where specialist work is needed

Keeping records of tasks completed, materials used, and time spent

Managing your own schedule with support from the Operations Manager

You’ll work closely with service managers and staff teams and will need to be respectful of the people who live in our homes. That means being mindful of disruption and maintaining a safe working environment at all times.

What We Are Looking For

Experience in maintenance, repair, or handyperson role

A broad practical skill set with confidence to complete a variety of maintenance tasks

Ability to work independently across multiple locations, managing your own workload efficiently

A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to problem-solving

Full UK driving licence and possession of your own tools

Understanding of how to work safely and respectfully within occupied care settings

Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check

CSCS Green Card (or willingness to obtain one)

Experience in care or supported living environments

Basic knowledge of health and safety in residential settings

Familiarity with simple record-keeping or reporting systems

Basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)
