Job summary

Rydon is seeking a painter to join our NHS healthcare maintenance team. You will redecorate common spaces across NHS properties including patient areas and inpatient facilities, maintaining high standards and delivering on time.

The role requires prior painting experience, preferably within NHS or commercial environments, and a valid UK driving license with access to a vehicle for travel between sites in Sidcup, Bromley, Bexley and Erith. Full-time, permanent, 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Previous painting experience, NHS or commercial decorator preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Paint internal and external common areas across NHS properties.

Overview

We now have an excellent opportunity for a Painter to join our highly regarded repairs and maintenance team. You will be working across multiple primary health care clinics/centres in and around Sidcup, Bromley, Bexley and Erith.

Rydon Maintenance provides a range of expert planned and responsive maintenance services to domestic properties and commercial buildings in the social housing, health and social care sectors. We look after a growing number of healthcare buildings for NHS Trusts, residential homes and educational facilities. Using the latest technology we ensure properties are well maintained, efficient and fit for purpose.

Job Purpose

Our NHS healthcare team provide as part of our contract a redecorating programme across several NHS properties we manage each year. To enable us to continue to deliver an excellent quality of service, we are looking for an enthusiastic painter to join the team.

This varied role will involve painting the common spaces internally and externally within a range of our NHS estate buildings including patient common areas and inpatient facilities. As one of our values is focused on delivering a great customer experience, you'll strive to meet set timescales and get the work done with a 'right first time' approach. Sites are located around Bromley, Bexley, Erith and Sidcup so you will need access to your own vehicle for travel.

This position is offered on a full time permanent basis with normal working hours 8am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.

Experience Required

The ideal candidate will have previous painting experience, ideally gained within the NHS or a commercial decorating environment. You should have excellent interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail to ensure that we are able to provide a quality finish for our NHS clients.

You will need to hold a Full UK Driver’s License and have access to your own vehicle for travel (Travel for business miles will be paid).
