Job Summary:

Undertake prescribed maintenance tasks as directed by the Engineering Supervisor. Work with a small team on a rotating 4 on, 4 off day shift from 7 am to 7 pm, carrying out planned and unplanned maintenance.

Salary: £45,767 per annum + 3% shift allowance.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Identify and diagnose faults, carry out repairs, adjustments, and maintenance.
  2. Perform routine servicing and repairs in accordance with the maintenance schedule.
  3. Be flexible in skills and trades to ensure cost-effective completion of tasks.
  4. Undertake other skilled tasks as demonstrated competence allows.
  5. Monitor plant and record data accordingly.
  6. Ensure plant and equipment operate efficiently, following instructions.
  7. Maintain a clean and tidy work area, manage waste appropriately.
  8. Comply with health and safety policies, report hazards immediately.
  9. Complete daily time/task sheets as per procedures.
  10. Perform other duties as requested by supervisors.
Requirements:

Enthusiastic, positive attitude, tidy and presentable, team player, effective communicator, customer-focused, able to make decisions. Ability to work at heights outdoors may be required. Appreciation of customer service is essential.

Technical Requirements:

Full apprenticeship in electrical or HVAC discipline with City & Guilds 236 parts 1 & 2 or NVQ Level 3. Mechanical apprenticeship with relevant electrical experience acceptable. Basic understanding of HVAC and building services. Completion of Electrical Installation (BS7671:2018) 18th edition is highly desirable.
